If you want to be a contrarian, be sure of what you are betting on. Don’t be different for the sake of it.

Doing difficulty things is okay. But understanding what is the correct thing to be done is more important.

Most of the times at BIS I picked up reports that weren’t necessarily strong. I wanted to be different.

I targeted Europe while the market was in USA. I wanted to be different again.

Being different is alright. But being different for the right thing is important.

Don’t just be a contrarian for the sake of it. Be contrarian because you believe it’s going to work.
